printer, or distributed to remote locations by AFTN, e-mail, or fax.

Flight Planning
VENUS allows the pilots, dispatchers, and briefing officers to perform various tasks necessary for the planning for a given flight.
  •  Flight Plan Entry: VENUS allows the users to file a new flight plan or retrieve and modify an existing one.

Direct Query
VENUS supports basic queries for data in the NOTAM and Meteorological databases. Such queries allow the user to specify a list of aeronautical identifiers (aerodromes and FIRs) and a number of selection criteria including:
  •  What type of information is requested (NOTAM, METAR, TAF, etc)
  •  The validity time of the data (optional)
  •  The altitude limits (optional)
  •  NOTAM class, purpose, and scope (optional)
