Message Handling System (MHS)
|
|
|
GWDI has over 20 years of experience designing and
implementing messaging systems to automate the exchange of
international and domestic aeronautical messages between CAA
facilities, airline users, aviation service providers and military organizations.
The GWDI MHS supports all message formats including (i)
AMHS, (ii) AFTN, (iii) CIDIN, (iv) SITA, and (v) WMO and
communication protocols used by the aviation community within one
fully integrated system.
The system was designed from the beginning to support
multiple-message formats. The support for the new ICAO message format
(AMHS) is also fully integrated into the system as the other formats,
easing the transition from the legacy AFTN to AMHS.
The system comes with a complete suite of companion
products including (i) User Agent, (ii) Directory Services, and (iii)
ATN router to support both the basic and extended AMHS services as
mandated by ICAO.

Aeronautical Information Management System (AIMS)
|
|
|
GWDI has developed and implemented systems to manage
aeronautical information for over 20 years.
The GWDI AIMS comes with a central database and a
complete suite of integrated applications including (i) static data
management, (ii) NOTAM management, (iii) flight plan management, (iv)
OPMET data management, (v) integrated briefing, (vi) EAD system interface
and (vii) SADIS/ICSC interface to support the management of all
aeronautical information.
The system can also be implemented with the GWDI AIP
Publication (PLIS) and GWDI Pilot Self-Briefing (PSB) system as one
fully integrated system.
The GWDI AIMS comes with extensive graphical tools for
assisting the operators with the management of static data and route
definition in support of briefings.
The system is designed with a great level of modularity,
flexibility and scalability, permitting the customization of the
applications to support new functional requirements. It also
facilitates the implementation of the latest technologies and
standards.

Pilot Self-Briefing System (PSB)
|
|
|
The GWDI Pilot Self-Briefing System (PSB) offers all the
tools for pilots, briefing officers and dispatchers to file a flight plan
electronically through the internet and receive a fully integrated
pre-flight briefing containing all critical information about the
flight including Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), weather products and
aeronautical charts.
The PSB comes with extensive mapping tools to assist the
pilot with route and flight planning. The system also supports the
validation of the flight plan with the Eurocontrol Integrated Initial
Flight Plan Processing System (“IFPS”) and flight plan status updates
to pilots via SMS messages. The system also comes with chatting
capabilities for pilots in need of assistance from the briefing
office.
The system is designed to offer the highest level of
security to ensure that all transactions between the internet web
browser and the database servers are fully secure. It is also
designed with the capability to integrate the customer’s existing
applications and infrastructure with the system.

AIP Publication System (PLIS)
|
|
|
GWDI offers an AIP Publication System (PLIS) that is
unique to the market in that both the textual and graphical
applications share a common database, thereby completely automating
the publication of an integrated Aeronautical Information Publication
(“AIP”) including all the aeronautical charts and all changes
therein, such as amendments, supplements and circulars.
The system also supports the publication of the AIP in
dual language as well as the production of the electronic version of
the AIP (“eAIP”) as defined by Eurocontrol.
The system can also be configured with an interface to
the European Aeronautical Database (“EAD”) for the exchange of static
information (“SDO”) and publications (“PAMS”).
The system can be implemented with an electronic Terrain
and Obstacle database (eTOD) and a Flight Procedures Design
application.
The system is designed around an AIXM-compliant
database. Additionally, all tools are accessible through a modern
user interface to assist operators and supervisors in controlling all
the changes to be published in the AIP from the moment the changes
are requested until their publication.
