Publishing/Cartography
SATURN is designed to streamline the operations of the AIS
offices by automating the production of aeronautical charts
and Aeronautical Information Publications (AIP)
At its core is a high-performance aeronautical database which
is fully compliant with the Eurocontrol AIXM model. This database
contains extensive and detailed aeronautical information for
the host country and border areas. A web-based user
interface allows for effective management of the AIXM related
data.

Static Database
SATURN comes with a static database used for the production
of the AIP and charts. It conforms to the AIXM model and is
updated from EAD, through ARINC-424 sources, or manual input. The
static database comes with all the tools required to effectively
manage the data.
Publication
The publication application automates the production of Aeronautical
Information Publication (AIP) components including:
• AIP
• AMDT
• SUPP
• AIC
•
Digital Charts (From the Cartography system below)
e-AIP Generator
The Electronic AIP (e-AIP) generator supports the production
of an electronic AIP as required by Eurocontrol.
Cartography
The cartography application automates the production of industry
standard aeronautical charts including:
• En-route charts
• Approach charts
• SIDs
• STARs
• Area charts
• Airport diagrams
EAD System Interface
The EAD System Interface supports SDO (static data) functions
for both data users and data providers with the European Aeronautical
Database (EAD). |
