NOTAM
Data Management
JUPITER is designed to streamline the operations of the NOTAM
and Briefing offices by effectively managing NOTAM data and
producing high-quality Pre-flight Information Bulletins (PIB)
for departing flight crews.
JUPITER comes with a global aeronautical (static) database
as well as the tools to effectively manage the static data.
JUPITER can be integrated with TERRA (Meteorological Data
Management), NEPTUNE (Flight Plans Management) and VENUS (Pilot
Self-Briefing) and offered as a fully integrated Aeornautical
Information Management System.
JUPITER can also be configured with an interface to the European
Aeronautical Database (EAD) for the exchange of both NOTAM
and static data.

Features
• Automates NOTAM Data Management
• Supports Briefing Office Operations
• Produces high-quality Pre-Flight Information Bulletins
(PIB) on demand or on a schedule
• Supports Interface to European Aeronautical Database
(EAD)
• Seamlessly integrates with VENUS, NEPTUNE and TERRA
Aeronautical (Static) Database
JUPITER contains an integrated global aeronautical database
that is used to validate incoming NOTAM and flight plans used
to support the creation of tailored briefing packages. This
static database is compatible with both the ARINC and AIXM
data models.
Aeronautical Database Management
JUPITER provides the tools to effectively manage the aeronautical
database. JUPITER supports the acquisition of static
data from EAD, ARINC-424 sources, and manual input. The
Graphical User Interface provides the tools to validate, correct,
and visualize the data.
NOTAM Data Management
JUPITER automates the management of NOTAM data by the national
NOTAM Office. JUPITER supports the following functionalities:
• Validation of Incoming NOTAM, ASHTAM, SNOWTAM, BIRDTAM. The
NOTAM can be stored automatically in the database or reviewed
and edited by the operators. • Supports the redistributed
of NOTAM to interested parties • Automates the handling
of both incoming and outgoing NOTAM checklists •
Supports query and service message handling
Production of Pre-Flight Information
Bulletins (PIB)
JUPITER prepares Pre-Flight Information Bulletins (PIB) for
departing flight crews. The PIB can be scheduled for
creation on a predefined schedule or, alternatively, they
may be created using interactive input from the briefing officer. The
PIB can also be automatically generated from received ICAO
and ADEXP flight plans. JUPITER supports: • Extensive
NOTAM query through the Graphical User Interface •
Ad hoc and scheduled predefined PIB • Different
PIB types supported: Aerodrome, FIR, area, and narrow route
• Extensive filtering capabilities to ensure that the
PIB only contains relevant NOTAM • Inclusion of
Meteorological data in the PIB when integrated with TERRA
• PIB created based on flight plans when integrated
with NEPTUNE
EAD (European Aeronautical Database)
System Interface
JUPITER comes with an interface to the EAD and supports INO
functions for both the upload and download of NOTAM to or
from the EAD system. JUPITER also supports SDO (static
data) functions supporting the down load of static aeronautical
data from EAD.
Integration with TERRA/VENUS/NEPTUNE
Textual and graphical meteorological data and products can
be included in the PIB whenever JUPITER is integrated with
TERRA (Met Data Management). JUPITER can be integrated
with VENUS for the support of Pilot Self-briefing services
over the Internet. Flight Plans information is available when
integrated with NEPTUNE. |
