GWDI is
pleased to announce that LGS has signed a contract with GWDI for the enhancements
of its AFTN and AIS systems.
Monterey, California, USA, December 8, 2006
LGS is currently operating the GWDI Message Handling system
to automate the exchange of international and domestic aeronautical
messages. LGS is also operating GWDI's Aeronautical Information
System for the management of NOTAM, OPMET and Flight Plans
data as well as the production of Briefing Folders.
The new contract includes the implementation of the following
systems' enhancements:
An EAD System Interface for the exchange of static
and NOTAM data with the European Aeronautical Database (EAD)
A data feed to SADIS 2 with an FTP backup
The processing of Wind and Temperature Charts from
GRIB data and Significant (SIGWX) Charts from BUFR data.
The support for incorporating graphical Meteorological
data and products in the Briefing Folders
A new Graphical User Interface (GUI) for all the applications.
The new GUI will include the support for the X.400 (AMHS)
message format and procedures easing the future transition
of LGS to the new ICAO AMHS standard.

new contract will give the opportunity to expand this partnership"
