JCAA ACCEPTS GWDI’s AIS

Monterey, California, USA, July 30, 2003.

Global Weather Dynamics, Inc. (GWDI) announces that the Jordanian Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) has accepted the commissioning of its Aeronautical Information System (AIS).

In 2002, JCAA opened a tender for the implementation of a new AIS.  After reviewing offers from different suppliers, JCAA decided that the GWDI AIS solution offered the best price performance.

The AIS implemented at Amman International Airport manages all domestic and international NOTAM and Flight Plans as well as all OPMET data.  It also automates the production of pilot briefings.  The JCAA operators access the AIS data using GWDI’s Aeronautical Information Terminal (AIT) installed at numerous locations within the Kingdom.

“The system installed at JCAA is the fourth generation of Aeronautical Information System (AIS) developed by GWDI.  It runs under the Linux OS and MySQL RDBMS offering the lowest Total Cost of Ownership to JCAA “said John Fort, Director of Business Development.
