GWDI
provides factory training to the staff from the Civil Aviations
Administrations of Finland, Sweden and Denmark on the AFTN
and OPMET systems
Monterey, CA U.S.A. April 6, 2001
From March 12 to April 6, 2201 GWDI provided training at its
headquarters in Monterey, California to the staff of the civil
aviation administrations of Denmark, Finland and Sweden on
the AFTN and OPMET systems.
| The Unified
Message Switch (UMS) Internals course presented advanced
UMS topics concerning the system's internal software
structure. The participants, on successful completion
of the course, had a good understanding of the operation
of the system at the software process and data structure
level. This means that operational or software problems
on the system can be localized to a portion of a given
process. This will help the CAA staff to better define
improvements a user may want to make to the systems
functionality. |

Danish and Finnish students
Course materials included the Software Design Descriptions
for the AFTN and OPMET systems and appropriate student handouts.
Certificates of completion were presented to each student.
