GWDI RELEASES NEW STATISTICS SYSTEM

GWDI announces that it has released its new Statistics System (STATS).  The STATS maintains a database of statistics data acquired from the GWDI Message Handling System (MHS).  The STATS produces routine and ad-hoc statistical reports covering daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly periods.  Routine reports include reports on message traffic by circuit, character counts by circuit, message counts by message priority, message counts by destination address, message count by message origin, reports on message switch latency and queueing delays, and reports on circuit outage.
 
The STATS comes with two main components.  The STATS Gatherer periodically processes both the system message archive and the system log and alarm files to gather information about system activities.  The raw statistics are then further processed and stored by the STATS Report Writer.  The STATS Report Writer responds to request for specific report products from the operational staff.
 
The STATS is available for both the Tru64 and Linux based versions of the GWDI MHS.  GWDI’s customers in the countries of Denmark, Finland, Saudi Arabia, and Sweden have already upgraded their system to include the new STATS product.
